Claude Code setup

Claude Code talks to an Anthropic-compatible endpoint, which ORBIX provides. Three environment variables are enough.

Configure

Add these to your shell profile (~/.zshrc, ~/.bashrc) or to a project .env:

export ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN="$ORBIX_API_KEY"
export ANTHROPIC_MODEL="anthropic/claude-sonnet-5.5"

Then start Claude Code as usual:

Pick a model

Any Anthropic model on the market works. Use a faster model for background tasks to stretch the pool further:

Verify

Ask Claude Code something short, then open Usage. The request should show the model, token counts and the discounted price.

Long agent sessions burn through tokens quickly. A Core or Singularity tier makes the biggest difference here.
