Market
Pricing and discounts
Every request starts at the provider's list price. Your discount is your tier's cap, scaled by how much of today's pool is left.
The formula
text
list cost = input tokens × input price + output tokens × output price
pool factor = min(1, pool remaining ÷ projected subsidy demand)
discount = tier cap × pool factor
you pay = list cost × (1 − discount)
pool pays = list cost × discountPrices are per 1M tokens and match the upstream provider's published rate.
Worked example
A Core holder (60% cap) sends a request to Claude Sonnet 5.5 with 4,000 input and 800 output tokens, while the pool factor is 0.75.
| Step | Value |
|---|---|
| List cost | 4,000 × $2/M + 800 × $10/M = $0.0160 |
| Discount | 60% × 0.75 = 45% |
| You pay | $0.0160 × 0.55 = $0.0088 |
| Pool pays | $0.0160 × 0.45 = $0.0072 |
When the pool is empty
If the pool reaches zero before the daily reset, the pool factor is 0 and every request bills at list price until 00:00 UTC. Your requests are never blocked because of the pool, only priced differently.
